At CeBIT 2012, Software AG will be demonstrating how customers from various sectors are implementing excellent business processes and achieving their business goals faster. Engaging IT projects and numerous case studies show visitors how important rapid responses are in the digital business world of the future.
Software AG is upholding CeBIT’s main theme, "managing trust," with its Cloud Ready strategy for cloud-based IT solutions. The objective is to strengthen trust and security in the digital world, ensuring progress and growth for organizations worldwide. To do this, Software AG is developing a secure range of products for cloud computing, in which various webMethods products are bundled with solutions from American manufacturer Layer 7 Technologies. With the Cloud Ready strategy, customers can combine different cloud models—such as public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud—and procure IT services as “cloud services.” The flexibility achieved here allows the appropriate use of new and existing cloud products and meets the diverse security needs of industry and public administration.
In addition, Software AG’s booth partners from Deloitte—a globally active management consulting and auditing firm—will be presenting the results of their recent TrustIT study. The international survey about IT security examines the relationship between businesses and external IT partners in the framework of ecosystems networked across companies; it shows that companies today transfer a large part of their added IT value to external partners. They generally rely on standard controls for security. Partnership requires solid mutual trust.
Innovations lead to victory
New technologies and increasing digitalization are making enterprises more and more efficient while accelerating processes. In the future, innovations will be pursued in organizations across networks in a globalized world, rather than within individual companies. In this participatory world, speed is the key success factor. In the long term, only those companies that can quickly adapt to new technologies will be successful. At CeBIT, Software AG will be highlighting some engaging, real-world examples and presenting current solutions for efficient use of new technologies.
Rapid, across organizational communication within the enterprise
Collaboration does not only play an important role in private life, but has become increasingly important in the business environment. Employees want to communicate across organizational boundaries, in real-time, so that they can react quickly to events and work successfully on their projects. At this year’s CeBIT, Software AG presents a new solution that offers comprehensive features for quick interactive communication – a kind of Twitter for enterprises. The difference is that the solution can be used for much more than 140 text characters. Virtually any type of data can be represented and distributed. This means it can easily tie in with the complex event notifications that an enterprise needs. The innovation connects not just people, but also systems, processes, and applications. Here, Software AG has leveraged its integration capabilities. The solution will be offered on iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone. Additionally, it will be offered as both a cloud as well as an on-premise solution. The solution leverages the social media communication paradigm in order to help organizations gain unprecedented visibility of the business activities that are taking place.
New technologies: Developing mobile solutions more quickly
The diversity of mobile devices makes integrating them into business processes costly and time-consuming. Companies can use the webMethods Mobile Designer solution to develop a single version of their application, which they can then use on any mobile device—from iPad to Android and BlackBerry—without additional development.
Bom dia, Brasil!
This is the first year that a South American country—Brazil—has been the official partner of the world's largest IT tradeshow. At the Software AG booth, representatives of PDG S.A.—Brazil’s largest construction and real estate company—demonstrate how they succeeded in lowering the time required for a credit check process from weeks to hours.
Showcases: Accelerating processes in the digital administration, energy, and construction industries
The various exhibits at Software AG’s booth give visitors a real picture of excellent business processes. An example is a new reference project to speed up heavy load transportation between Germany and Austria, which provides information on how authorities benefit from digital management processes. The German state of Bavaria worked with Austria to develop a solution that speeds up the lengthy approval processes for transporting goods. On the basis of seamless processes and Software AG technologies, trucks will be able to cross the border more quickly in the future. Beyond its main booth in Hall 4, Software AG is represented in the Public Sector Parc (Hall 7 Booth C14 ); this booth focuses on digital administration and Software AG’s many offerings for modern e-government.
Process excellence for smart grids: In an example for smart grids, Software AG shows how to use its webMethods Business Events and ARIS Mashzone products to network the various participants in the energy market at the process level.
The Construction Process Excellence showcase for the construction industry was developed in cooperation with the Darmstadt University of Technology. It demonstrates how companies can use construction-logistics events to derive current data to provide timely control of the construction process, thereby improving the overall processes of all companies involved in construction.
