Software AG Kicks Off CeBIT 2016 Idea Contest for Universities around the World

07/02/2015 - Software AG’s University Relations department has announced its fifth annual international CeBIT idea contest. The competition is open to students and faculty at colleges and universities around the world and invites them to submit creative proposals for a project to be showcased at CeBIT 2016, the largest IT fair worldwide. Software AG’s Digital Business Platform must be used for the project. Furthermore, entries should depict a market-oriented, real-life model scenario, which highlights the platform’s capabilities for big data, Industry 4.0, integration and business process management. The winning project will receive up to €10,000 for implementation.

To help individuals having cardiac arrest, Livesapp notifies laymen and medically trained volunteers who are close to the incident at the time of the emergency call. The system not only alerts the most promising first-aiders but also guides them to the scene so they can provide early resuscitation until professional medical help arrives. Livesapp is based on Software AG’s IBO products, webMethods integration and process automation software. Livesapp was developed at RWTH Aachen University and is the winner of Software AG’s University Relations Idea Contest for CeBIT 2015.

Aachen Technical University declares war on sudden cardiac arrest and wins Software AG’s CeBIT 2015 Idea Contest

12/01/2014 -Software AG’s University Relations’ CeBIT Idea Contest was launched this summer for the fourth time, and now the winner has been declared: RWTH Aachen University. As the contest winner, RWTH will present its new volunteer notification system (VNS) at Software AG’s booth at CeBIT 2015. The system ensures the fastest possible first aid for sudden cardiac arrest through a software-based network of volunteer first responders and laypeople with medical training. The team of scientists and students from RWTH Aachen University will receive a grant of up to €10,000 to continue development on their showcase project.

01.12.2014 - Bereits zum vierten Mal wurde in diesem Sommer der CeBIT Ideenwettbewerb des University Relations Bereichs der Software AG ausgeschrieben, nun steht der Gewinner fest: die Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen. Als Gewinner des Wettbewerbs wird die RWTH im nächsten Jahr auf der CeBIT 2015 am Stand der Software AG ihr neues Volontär-Notifikationssystem (VNS) vorstellen. Das System stellt eine schnellstmögliche medizinische Ersthilfe bei plötzlichem Herzstillstand über ein softwarebasiertes Netzwerk an freiwilligen Erst- und Laienhelfern sicher. Um die Realisierung ihres Vorzeigeprojektes weiterzuentwickeln, erhält das Team aus Wissenschaftlern und Studenten der RWTH Aachen eine Fördersumme von bis zu 10.000 Euro.
