Sydney, 3/9/2012

Stephen Keys has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan, to drive growth in the region. Two new vertical sales divisions will support Software AG’s expansion in Australia, targeting government and commercial business.

Software AG, a leading provider of Business Process Excellence (BPE) solutions, today announced the promotion of Stephen Keys to Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan, to strengthen the company’s regional business and drive new growth initiatives around business process excellence in the region. Based in Software AG’s regional headquarters in Sydney, he has overall responsibility for both Software AG’s sales and consulting services businesses across Asia Pacific and Japan.

Prior to this appointment, Keys was Senior Vice President, Global Consulting Services, within this region. He joined Software AG in 2006 as Sales Director for the company’s Enterprise Transaction Systems (ETS) business division. Keys succeeds David Powell, who is relocating to the UK to take on a global role with Software AG.

Software AG also announced the creation of two vertically focused sales divisions in Australia, to take advantage of the maturing BPM market with a specially trained sales force.

Stephen Keys commented on his appointment, and organisational changes at Software AG Australia: “It’s an exciting time to take the reigns for Software AG in the region, capitalising on our enhanced product portfolio in mobile application development, master data management, in-memory and cloud enablement technology.”
