Innovation World

For universities worldwide

The Innovation World Idea Contest invites students and faculty members from universities worldwide to create ideas for a showcase to be presented at Innovation World, Software AG´s largest annual conference.

The winning showcase project proposal receives up to $10,000 to fund the creation of their showcase. The students then present their model to Software AG´s customers at Innovation World. This is a great opportunity to attract important individuals from the technological industry, guests, and media representatives with creativity and ingenuity.

Two students from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Utkarsh Garg and Shyamak Aggarwal, won the first annual Innovation World Idea Contest. The students displayed their disaster relief system, titled “EndoVelicus” at Software AG’s Innovation World 2014 in New Orleans. EndoVelicus uses Software AG’s Apama, Terracotta, and webMethods products.

The winners were able to present their idea at both the University Relations booth and at the webMethods World track session, which boasted around 500 attendees.

The runner-up was a team from RWTH Aachen, followed by a tie for third place between Widener University and the University of California, Berkeley.
