Software AG: #1 Vendor Worldwide in SOA Governance Technologies

Software AG, a global leader in business infrastructure software, today announced their ranking as the largest vendor of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Governance Technologies based on the 2008 Application Infrastructure and Middleware Software market share figures(1) released by Gartner, Inc., a leading industry analyst firm. This is the first year Gartner has ranked the SOA Governance Technologies market.

Gartner noted that Software AG had a 55.9% growth (in U.S. dollar terms) in the SOA Governance market in 2008, compared to 2007. The analyst firm ranked Software AG’s worldwide market share at 13.7%, which topped the second-ranked competitor by three points.

Earlier this year, Gartner positioned Software AG in the Leaders Quadrant for SOA Governance Technologies (2)Magic Quadrant.
