Omnicom Media Group (OMG) is the media services division of Omnicom Group Inc., the leading global advertising, marketing and corporate communications company, providing services to more than 5,000 clients in more than 100 countries. OMG Germany has more than 600 employees in five locations across Germany.

Digital media placements are on the rise. This increased workload is slowed down by manual processes that are time consuming, inefficient and not tool-based. Diverse work routines, double efforts, inconsistent data and system breaks keep OMG Germany from operating at top efficiency and delivering the best-possible customer service.

Solution/Innovation:
OMG Germany creates a digital planning process—its first business-driven and process-driven IT project and the first E2E solution in the media service area for digital business in Germany. In this Enterprise Business Process Management (BPM) solution, the company's business and IT departments team up to align business processes with the company's growth strategy. The process is documented and optimized with the ARIS Platform and automated using webMethods.

Business Results:
The optimized and automated process dramatically reduces processing and administration time. Employees gain more time to deliver better and more qualified customer support, which is the company's main competitive differentiator.
By the end of 2011, OMG Germany expects:

  • Processing time to be reduced by 66 percent
  • Personnel costs to be reduced by 66 percent
  • Value-added activities to increase by 38 percent
  • System breaks to be reduced by 75 percent
