Bundesagentur für Arbeit, the German Federal Employment Agency, won the Process Excellence Award for making the biggest process improvement with the greatest business benefit. Using the ARIS Platform, the agency has become a beacon for process excellence at the federal level in Germany. Its top management sponsored a comprehensive approach to business process modeling, which enabled the agency to increase its flexibility and citizen focus while achieving measurable improvements in service quality and cost reduction in 2011. Process Excellence Vision

The Linde Group, a Germany-based world-leading gas and engineering company, won the Process Excellence Vision Award for identifying process excellence as a key enabler to becoming a High Performance Organization. The company's goal is to save up to 800 million Euros from 2009 to 2012 and improve its competitive position even in a tough economy. By building an enterprise repository based on the ARIS Platform, the company has aligned business and IT objectives, increased its responsiveness and produced best-in-class processes. More

 Cox CommunicationsInnovation

Cox Communications, America's third largest cable and broadband company, won the Innovation Award by using Software AG technology to save nearly $10 million. A new Geospatial Enterprise Mapping System (GEMS) merges prospect, customer and network data so Cox can quickly determine if a prospect is serviceable. This minimizes on-site inspections at prospect locations to lower Cox's carbon footprint. Less than $100,000 was invested to produce an annualized return of nearly 2,000 percent, or $9.9 million, over five years. More

 Omnicom Group GermanyIT/Business Alignment

OmnicomMediaGroup Germany, a regional component of Omnicom Group, a leading global advertising, marketing and corporate communications company, won the IT/Business Alignment Award. The company's business and IT departments teamed up to align business processes with the company's growth strategy. Using ARIS and webMethods for Enterprise BPM, the company improved customer support by documenting, modeling, optimizing and automated processes for 600 employees across five locations. More

 Clal InsuranceCustomer Service

CLAL Insurance Enterprises Holdings, Israel's leading insurance, pension and financial services group, won the Customer Service Award for its case management solution created with webMethods. The solution integrates claims documents with an automated process built on top of a legacy system, extending the company's existing IT investment. Time-intensive and error-prone manual steps were replaced with an agile, scalable claims process that's faster and more accurate, thereby improving customer satisfaction. More

 State of Alaska Department of Natural ResourcesReturn on Investment

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, which manages state-owned land, water and natural resources, won the ROI Award for its Unified Permit Project. A new SOA-based architecture bridges core Adabas and Natural mainframe environments to a BPM-based case management system. Permit issuance processes were integrated with related content to streamline tasks, content access and workflow. The system modernization took only nine months. Rewriting the system would have taken 10 years and at least $30 million. More

 Coca-Cola EnterprisesProductivity

Coca-Cola Enterprises won the Productivity Award for a project that avoided more than $100 million in new IT costs. The project was an IT wide initiative that required a significant amount of integration capabilities to be created in a very short timeline. Using Software AG technology as its strategic enterprise integration platform, Coca-Cola Enterprises achieved application-to-application as well as business-to-business transaction processing for the new Coca-Cola Enterprises. The migration occurred in a 48-hour window—with commerce flowing in "minute one." More

DeloittePartner Innovation

Deloitte Consulting, a top-ranked global consulting firm with more than 8,000 practitioners, won the Partner Innovation Award for its commitment to process excellence. Deloitte has deployed the ARIS Platform for clients in 35 countries to deliver high-value process transformation projects. In particular, for a global 100 financial institution, Deloitte Portugal established an Enterprise Architecture Management platform that contributed strongly to the institution's alignment of business and IT—a critical step in process transformation. More
