FY 2007 - Software AG reports best financial results in the company’s history

Software AG (Frankfurt TecDAX: SOW) has reported the best financial results in the company’s history. Group revenues (IFRS) amounted to €621.3 million (2006: €483.0 million). Operating revenues increased by 36%, at constant currency rates. Licensing revenues (currency adjusted) were up 53% to €241.3 million (2006: €165.7 million). EBIT improved by 23% to €136.8 million (2006: €111.2 million). Software AG increased its net income by 21% to €88.4 million in 2007, up from €73.2 million in 2006.

Overall, the forecasts for 2007 were achieved and with revenue and license targets exceeded. For the fiscal year 2008 the company plans to increase its currency-adjusted revenues by 24% to 27%. The EBIT margin is expected to rise to 24% percent in the same period.
   

3Q2007 - Software AG reports significant increase in revenue and earnings - confirms forecast for the year

Software AG (Frankfurt TecDAX: SOW) continued to improve its revenue and earnings significantly in the third quarter of 2007. Its revenue amounted to €157.8 million (2006: €113.8 million); operating revenue grew by 48% on a currency-adjusted basis. Licensing revenue rose by 62% to €57.8 million (2006: €37.0 million). EBIT rose to €32.4 million (2006: €25.6 million), an increase of 27%. Software AG raised its net income for the third quarter from €17.1 million in 2006 to €19.2 million in 2007.

In 2008 the company plans to raise its operating revenue by 22% to 25% net of currency effects and its EBIT margin to circa 23%.
  

2Q2007 - Software AG Again Reports Increased Earnings in the Second Quarter of 2007 and Integration of webMethods According to Plan

In the second quarter of 2007, Software AG (Frankfurt TecDAX: SOW) again reported significant growth in revenue and earnings as it extended its business success of recent quarters. Corporate revenue grew by 28 percent year-on-year to €154.8 million in the second quarter of 2007 (according to IFRS €152.2 million or 30 percent currency adjusted). During the quarter, license revenue increased year-on-year by 39 percent to €57.3 million. Operating results (EBIT) grew by 32 percent over the second quarter of 2006 to €39.3 million. Profit after taxes also grew by 27 percent year-on-year to €24.6 million. The acquisition of US software company webMethods, Inc. on May 25, 2007 had a positive impact on revenue and earnings. 

1Q2007 - Software AG Reports Continuous Growth in the First Quarter of 2007

Software AG continued to expand in the first quarter of 2007 reporting a 10% increase in Group revenue to €124.7 million, 15% at constant currency rates. Growth in the first quarter was primarily driven by a 40% rise in licensing revenues to €46.9 million (51% net of currency effects). Profitability also improved in the first quarter, the operating result (EBIT) rose by 16% to €25.0 million while the EBIT margin improved by more than one percentage point to 20%. The increase in net earnings of 24% to €17.8 million, significantly higher than the previous year, demonstrated Software AG’s successful start to fiscal 2007.
