Optimize for Infrastructure: Mainframe Edition is a browser-based performance monitor that works with Adabas, Natural, webMethods EntireX, webMethods ApplinX and other Software AG technology—on mainframe as well as non-mainframe platforms.

With Optimize for Infrastructure: Mainframe Edition, you can easily monitor your Adabas and Natural systems and webMethods ApplinX and EntireX. You’ll see activity in real-time, rather than relying on after-the-fact static reports or time-consuming manual analysis. That helps you reduce the time you spend on monitoring using multiple tools by up to 50 percent.
Further, you can reduce outages by more than 35 percent because, with Optimize, you can spot an evolving problem before it causes an outage. After planned downtime, you’ll be back in service faster because you’ll need to spend less time checking to see if all systems are operational again.
Immediate, exception-based alerts
Optimize alerts you, based on thresholds you establish, whenever KPI exceptions are encountered. You can customize alerts based on the severity of the exception, so you can respond appropriately. Users can receive alerts via e-mail or even on a pager. SNMP and Web service alerts can trigger automated actions.
Intelligent self-learning capability
Your organization’s workload isn’t consistent throughout any given day, week or month. Because of these workload fluctuations, using fixed rules to trigger alerts isn’t helpful.
Optimize addresses this issue by learning—based on analysis of historical patterns—what is “normal” behavior for pre-selected Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Optimize can then send alerts to you based on real deviations from normal workload trends. You’ll know when it’s time to act rather than wonder whether you’re wasting time on a false alarm.
CPU usage monitoring
Monitor CPU usage in multi-processor environment and also manage your resources more efficiently. Optimize can tell you what your thresholds are at any given moment, so you can determine when it’s time to add another nucleus in an Adabas Parallel Services or Cluster Services environment.
