Process Intelligence for Natural & Legacy Applications
Discover how to improve business processes across core apps
Process Intelligence for Natural & Legacy Applications makes it easy to understand how your processes impact operations across your core applications—particularly if those applications comprise a million lines of code, even if your processes span thousands of screens and hundreds of users!
Screen Process Extractor
Capture KPI data from screens exchanged with an application during process execution. The Screen Process Extractor stores this data in an XML format, which you can easily encrypt or, if necessary, mark as sensitive so it will not be examined. You can collect this information across Natural, COBOL and other screen-based applications.
Process discovery
Process discovery via ARIS PPM automatically generates a graphical representation of business workflows from your actual processes. ARIS PPM uses process-relevant data extracted and combined from your systems to reconstruct each transaction—start to finish. Extracted data is imported via SQL/JDBC, CSV or XML.
Unlike process representations in modeling tools, the resulting process models are visualized not as they should be, but as they actually are. Use this insight to create benchmarks, such as speed, cost and quality. Compare the actual “as-is” process to the planned and implemented versions. You can also identify best practices to re-use across your organization.
Adabas Process Extractor
Historical process data can be easily read with the Adabas Process Extractor. This extractor collects KPI data from process-related changes that have occurred in Adabas operational data. Then the extracted process events are stored in an XML file format.
Graphical dashboards
ARIS MashZone displays your process data in an easy-to-understand graphical dashboard that helps you visualize process performance. No programming required! Quickly drill down to simultaneously see specific performance data and a combination of KPIs so it’s easy to see where you can make improvements.
You can see, for example, how an entire process operates (such as the insurance claims process—from claim to payment) regardless of the type and number of applications at work.
