Easy-to-use design tool
The webMethods Integration Server uses a unified Eclipse-based, graphical development environment for designing, developing and orchestrating services. Using this elegant tool, developers simply drag and drop services on a canvas to begin the integration process.
Software AG uses Eclipse as a development tool across all of our products. Product specific plug-ins, as well as a common set of “shared” plug-ins, assure interoperability across the webMethods suite.
You’ll find our design tool includes everything your application developers need to quickly orchestrate SOA services, including libraries of built-in functions and visual debugging for faster development.
Support for any integration pattern
Integrate in a number of ways with the webMethods Integration Server. You can support on-demand, scheduled or event-driven interactions. Clicking a button on a Web form, scheduling a nightly batch transfer, updating a packaged application—any of these events can trigger the start of something inside the webMethods Integration Server.
Specifically, the webMethods Integration Server can be called from HTTP(S),FTP(S), SOAP, JMS, Scheduler, SMTP, BPM Event, Java Client C/C++ Client, .NET Client, Adapter or Flow.
Mapping, transformation & enrichment
The webMethods Integration Server makes sure that information from one system can be used by another. It does this through mapping, transformation and enrichment features that get information into the right format. Integration Server can parse and transform all formats, including XML, EDI and flat files, or translation and mapping to and from all document formats. This capability protects your investments in existing systems by re-using maps and business logic.
