HOW WEBMETHODS COMMUNICATE WORKS
webMethods Communicate has two parts: the webMethods Communicate package and the webMethods Communicate Server.
The webMethods Communicate package is loaded onto the webMethods Integration Server and provides communications by exposing standard Integration Server services. These can be used from within business processes, Web services and webMethods CAF, for example.
The webMethods Communicate package connects to the webMethods Communicate Server to perform the communications functions. The server must be connected to the telephony network and/or the Internet to send/receive calls, SMS or e-mails. It accesses various telephony protocols via an Aculab Prosody X card.
