Software AG Designer Workstation

Develop locally. Work from anywhere.

Capabilities

Local Development

Simplify projects in complex environments

Software AG Designer Workstation makes it easier to manage your projects by providing individual local development environments that are tied directly to your team’s version control systems.

Local runtime environment

Connecting to a centralized webMethods development environment on the network or on a remote server might not always be easy or convenient due to network challenges or geographical location. By providing a runtime server locally, Software AG Designer Workstation simplifies the development process and makes it possible to develop, execute, test and debug locally. Additionally, by developing project code within a local “sandbox,” each team member will have the freedom to develop and test project code without conflicting with team mates.

Integrated VCS

Software AG Designer Workstation lets you develop webMethods Integration Server packages locally as Eclipse projects. With this feature, you can check packages and their supporting files directly into and out of a Version Control System (VCS) from Software AG Designer Workstation, including Integration Server assets and other items that Integration Server does not maintain, such as HTML files.

Software AG Designer Workstation supports these version control systems:

  • Concurrent Versions System (CVS)
  • Subversion (SVN)
  • Microsoft® Team Foundation Server
