Mapping, transformation & enrichment
The webMethods ESB makes sure that information from one system can be used by another. It does this through mapping, transformation and enrichment features that get information into the right format. Integration Server can parse and transform all formats or translation and mapping to and from all document formats. This capability protects your investments in existing systems by re-using maps and business logic.
Easy-to-use design tool
The webMethods ESB uses a unified Eclipse-based, graphical development environment for designing, developing and orchestrating services. Using this elegant tool, developers simply drag and drop services on a canvas to begin the integration process. Software AG uses Eclipse as a development tool across all of our products. Product specific plug-ins, as well as a common set of “shared” plug-ins, assure interoperability across the webMethods suite.

Use Java, C/C++, XSLT, J2EE, .NET, BPEL or our built-in language, Flow, as well as our adapters to connect industry-specific formats. Your services will interoperate seamlessly because the webMethods ESB removes how the service is implemented from how it’s invoked.
Security and authentication
Count on support for the most frequently used security standards, including SSL/TLS for securing the HTTP and JMS transports, and WS-Security for securing messages. The ESB also supports options to encrypt and digitally sign messages as well as support for different authentication tokens.
The webMethods ESB also supports other standards that enhance and enrich integration with other systems. Those include JDBC for database integration and LDAP/LDAPS for authentication against directory services.
