We withdrew from unprofitable markets and placed our emphasis on the process side of SAP solution consulting—particularly in German-speaking coun- tries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). As a result of this realignment, revenue went down from €189.2 million last year to €125.1 million this year. Because this is primarily our consulting business, service revenue accounts for the largest percentage of income with €107.2 million (2011: €166.0 million). External product revenue was €17.9 million (2011: €23.2 mil- lion) including maintenance revenue of €15.0 million (2011: €16.7 million) and license revenue of only €2.9 million (2011: €6.5 million).
