Case Report: Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial (IMPI)
Automation of business processes, including vendor payment and claims management to improve service to users and enable information sharing across payment and other administrative systems.
Software AG´s SAGFE electronic invoicing and digital fiscal certificate administration system works in combination with the IMPI‘s new payment and e-services portal, streamlining the payment process to improve service. It enables IMPI to issue approximatively 50,000 invoices per month by using Web services to access its Tamino XML Server.
With the help of new technology from Software AG, the Institute is reaping benefits both for itself and the public, significantly improving service to users while increasing profits. The payment process is easier, operating costs are lower, errors are reduced, and IMPI has timely and reliable information on its revenue flow – including which of its services are most profitable.
“Software AG has offered to design and implement a service-oriented architecture (SOA) for the IMPI. With this we will be able to develop new e-government services in an optimal and highly-profitable manner.“
Mr. Eugenio Ponce de León, IMPI’s Divisional Director of Systems and Information Technology - IMPI
