IDC BPM & SOA Conference - 24th March 2011
"When the winds of change start to blow, there are those that build shelters, and others who build windmills." Chinese Proverb
Given the pace of change, it is critical for IT and the lines of business to speak a common language and align around common business objectives and goals.
This session will explain the building blocks that combine to make a successful performance-driven enterprise. This in turn can deliver business transparency and tools that allow the business and IT to work together to optimise your organisation's road to operational excellence.
Achieving Operational Excellence through Process Improvement - 7th December, 2010
The most innovative companies don't just compete on the products they sell – they compete on how efficiently their products and services are delivered and how effectively they identify and respond to problems and new opportunities. Success is defined by an ability to make frequent and focused innovations in support of their strategic goals and to maximise competitive advantage.
Vijay Jaswal, a leading authority with 15 years experience in the field of Business Process Management explains the formula behind building a successful performance-driven enterprise. He exposes the tools critical to innovation for continuous improvement that allow the business and IT to work together and shows how to make businesses transparent.
Business and IT leaders alike will walk away from this session with a clear understanding of just how easy it can be to understand the possibilities for process improvement, to collaborate on the design of new capabilities and to quickly build out solutions that exceed the expectations of your business, without costly and time-intensive development.

IDC SOA and Beyond Conference - 24th March, 2010
Presentation Title: Governing your Business Building Blocks
Presenter: Vijay Jaswal - UK Presales Manager, Software AG
Now more than ever, IT has a key role to play in supporting business strategy and direction, and arguably provides the building blocks, or services underpinning the success for any organisation.
Without proper control, the flexibility of SOA can result in chaos. Uncontrolled SOA allows services to be developed and invoked at any time into a complex construction, resulting in a dramatic increase in the number of interdependent moving parts in an IT environment.
Rather than creating a platform for effective reuse and responding rapidly to business goals and changing market conditions, uncontrolled SOA leads to redundancy in development and lack of visibility into systems that impact key processes.
This session will introduce the concepts of SOA governance and its increasing infrastructural importance.
WebMethods 8 Roadshow - 16th March, 2010
