Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o de servi\u00e7os aos associados: solucionando a sobrecarga de R4HA&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Para uma grande organiza\u00e7\u00e3o norte-americana de servi\u00e7os aos associados, que oferece solu\u00e7\u00f5es automotivas, de viagens e financeiras, garantir previsibilidade era uma prioridade estrat\u00e9gica. Fornecedor de energia no varejo: investimento em efici\u00eancia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Uma grande empresa de energia da Am\u00e9rica do Norte, com um amplo ambiente Db2, precisava de uma forma mais estrat\u00e9gica de utilizar seus recursos de processamento existentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A estrat\u00e9gia:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Assim como no primeiro caso, o cliente recorreu ao JOPAZ para tornar seus batch COBOL eleg\u00edveis para execu\u00e7\u00e3o no processador zIIP. Nesse cen\u00e1rio, o zIIP tinha capacidade limitada dispon\u00edvel para uso pelo JOPAZ, ent\u00e3o, ap\u00f3s o sucesso dos resultados iniciais, um segundo zIIP foi adicionado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O cen\u00e1rio:<strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ambiente COBOL Db2.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Utilizamos tr\u00eas processos batch. Cada um desses processos tinha programas COBOL que acessavam o Db2, e cada processo possu\u00eda m\u00faltiplas etapas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Os resultados:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sem o JOPAZ:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2:26.27 Minutos de tempo de CPU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>14:10 minutos de tempo de execu\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Com o JOPAZ \u2013 um \u00fanico processador zIIP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>14.4 segundos de tempo de CPU (redu\u00e7\u00e3o de 90%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5:44 minutos de tempo de execu\u00e7\u00e3o (redu\u00e7\u00e3o de 60%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>76% de economia de CPU em batch COBOL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Com o JOPAZ \u2013 2 zIIP engines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6.97 segundos de tempo de CPU (redu\u00e7\u00e3o de 95%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8:40 minutos de tempo de execu\u00e7\u00e3o (redu\u00e7\u00e3o de 39%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>96,7% de economia de CPU em batch COBOL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Os testes iniciais foram t\u00e3o promissores que o cliente imediatamente contratou recursos dedicados para levar o projeto at\u00e9 a conclus\u00e3o. Empresa de tecnologia de pagamentos: enfrentando a complexidade e o VSAM<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Na Am\u00e9rica do Sul, uma importante empresa de tecnologia de pagamentos processa bilh\u00f5es de transa\u00e7\u00f5es anualmente. Diferentemente dos outros exemplos, este era um ambiente puramente VSAM, sem bancos de dados tradicionais, al\u00e9m de contar com aplica\u00e7\u00f5es extremamente grandes e complexas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A estrat\u00e9gia:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Com quatro processadores zIIP subutilizados j\u00e1 dispon\u00edveis em sua infraestrutura, a empresa enxergou no JOPAZ a solu\u00e7\u00e3o ideal para recuperar capacidade dos GP. O projeto come\u00e7ou com a recompila\u00e7\u00e3o de um programa complexo de 54 mil linhas.
