It\u2019s a familiar problem: during your most critical processing windows, your General Purpose (GP) processors redline and latency climbs, putting mission-critical SLAs at risk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The natural instinct is to add more capacity. If the engine is full, we need a bigger engine, right? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In good news for your mainframe TCO, the answer is not necessarily.<\/em> In fact, many batch problems aren\u2019t capacity problems at all\u2014they\u2019re peak problems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The peak myth: It\u2019s not a capacity problem <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
