How it works
- The Consultant conducts an initial discovery workshop to explore the Customer’s intended use of APIs, understand the context of their proposed use cases for APIs, and introduce the customer’s team to the standard development approach.
- Next, the Consultant assesses your development needs and defines how your development team will use the asset creation platform.
- Following, the Consultant works with your development team to define and configure the API Gateway development environment and establish the necessary procedures to prepare content for promotion through higher environments.
- With guidance from your Consultant your development team will learn the recommended approach for incorporating each technical aspect of API development into the delivery process, including threat policies, fault handling, global events and more.
- Finally, the procedures and environment setups are evaluated and verified with a summary report provided in the handover.

By the end of the engagement, you will have received support to:
- Define your API Gateway architecture, including security protocols, authentication, user management and operational procedures.
- Configure user management and Team Support for your development activities.
- Configure API Gateway destinations and connected systems.
- Implement threat protection policies.
- Incorporate defining API fault behavior, API Gateway global events and approvals into your development procedures.
