Deborah Goltra will discuss Natural RPC’s impersonation feature to facilitate the convenience of single sign-on capability for Adabas/Natural environments. Impersonation involves sending the web client userid to the mainframe for authentication in batch or to CICS Natural RPC servers to take advantage of existing mainframe security definitions.

Dave Denbow will describe the US Bureau of Indian Affairs’ story of re-hosting of an important Natural/Adabas application from an IBM mainframe environment to an open platform, such as Windows 2008 R2. The session focus will be on pre-migration considerations, the re-hosting effort and lessons learned during the process.

There are a variety of ways to implement chargeback solutions to reconcile Adabas CPU time. Capitalizing on the inherent capabilities in the Review database monitor for Adabas enabled the South Carolina Budget and Control Board to more efficiently and accurately bill state agency customers for their database utilization. This demo will show you how it was done.
