Natural Availability Server for Linux & Cloud Uptime
High Availability for Natural applications on distributed Linux® and cloud environment
Ensure your Natural applications remain highly available and responsive to users, even in the face of hardware or software failures, network outages, or other disruptions. Natural Availability Server ensures your application’s availability matches the highest level provided by the underlying hardware infrastructure in Linux and cloud environments.
Take advantage of your environment to maximize uptime
Take full advantage of load balancing, automated failover, and high availability provided by your Linux or cloud infrastructure. Natural Availability Server locates Natural configurations on separate servers—creating redundancy—to ensure continuous availability. By providing a high-availability architecture for your Natural applications, you can minimize the impact of unplanned outages and planned maintenance on workload performance.
Reduce or eliminate planned downtime
Deliver higher-than-normal uptime by significantly reducing or eliminating planned downtime. You can update each Natural Server individually, without taking the entire application offline. There is no need to shut down the application for updates or restart after patching Natural.
Secured
Enhancing security by ensuring that only authorized personnel can access Natural. Using OpenID Connect (OIDC), a widely used and advanced method for user identity verification, this feature strengthens protection for Natural applications. It enables Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Key benefits
- Maximize the availability of your Natural application
- Leverage the benefits of load-balancing infrastructure
- Minimize the impact of disasters and recover quickly
- Establish an “always on” Natural infrastructure
- Avoid downtime when upgrading products
- Update applications without a planned outage
- Save costs by scaling the number of cloud server instances
High Availability Architecture – Linux and Cloud
Features
Automatic failover
Instantly detect failures and automatically recover session data from the state server when shifting Natural application instances between Linux servers on-premises or in the cloud.
Session recovery
Eliminate single points of failure by adding redundancy to the system so that failure of a component does not mean failure of the entire system. When a server experiences a network error or failure, sessions are recoverable, preventing data loss.
Auto Scale in / Scale out
Set the load balancer to automatically scale your Natural application instances up or down based on capacity, without affecting the end-user experience. This prevents the crossover point from becoming a single point of failure. Scaling can also be set manually, allowing you to reduce costs by scaling down your machine instances.
Multi-site availability
Split Natural application instances across data centers with secured TCP/IP access between sites. This enables automatic failover in the event of a site failure, ensuring high application availability.
Distributed architecture
Each Natural Server contains a full set of configurations and can be located on separate hosts to ensure continuous availability.
Rich Web User Interface
Use Angular’s out-of-the-box web user interface for easy access and distribution of your Natural application.
Application leverages load-balancing distribution algorithms
Run your Natural Application in sticky mode, round-robin, or another distribution algorithm configured in your load balancer. You have the power to decide whether to prioritize performance or distribution of the sessions with “Lingering Mode”.
