Merkur needed a quick solution to automatically process insurance proposals to insurance contracts to scale the business. Faced with limited Natural resources but an abundance of under-utilized Java resources, Merkur looked at the Adabas SQL Gateway (CONNX) to deliver results. By providing large-scale, read-write capabilities to Adabas data in the production environment, CONNX unlocked the key data needed to support automations facilitated by new Java applications. Today, several new applications (e.g., Identity Access Management, customer portal) also use CONNX to access Adabas data and more projects are in development.
