Energy Transfer operates over 130,000 miles of pipeline in the United States, making it one of the largest midstream businesses in the country. In recent years, it has also become one of the dominant exporters of natural gas liquids in the world, reaching over 80 countries and territories.

- How to upgrade to the latest releases of Natural and Adabas as well as the related Linux operating system for a large commercial application
- The application had to be available with minimum downtime
- The team had to work at remote sites in a secure environment

This large Natural/Adabas application was developed in-house and has been in production since January 1992. It was originally a mainframe application that was later converted to run on a Unix server and then later converted to a Linux server. When it came time to upgrade the Linux OS and the Software AG products, we decided to get help from the Professional Services group at Software AG. The project went smoothly. We could not have done this project without their Professional Services.
